Safe Arbor
At May’s Cherrydale Citizen’s Associtiation meeting the FS3 landscape plan took front & center. The chief concern being doubt whether the planned Maples were the most appropriate species given their lack of success on Lee Hwy. So the county & CCA went back to the drawing board. After a month plus of back & forth a new plan with a more diverse tree selection has emerged.
At Lee Hwy & 21st four Potomac Crepemyrtles & two Foster’s Holly will parallel the sidewalk leading to the pocket park. London Plantrees (Sycamore hybrid) will then take prominence.
The remaining trees north of 21st & on Old Dominion will be a mix of Lacebark Elm & Ginko (male).
